Get Out of My Head- Video- Rebuttal

Rebuttal: Well Bill Alexander the film maker and director of the video and I both knew the subject matter of the New Death and Taxes video would cause some controversy and stir up the pot a little.. well a lot actually. Yes the video is graphic, and dark and some will say hard to watch, but remember people, it is a creative endeavor. The song itself," Get Out of My Head" is a very dark song, and yes suicide is a very dark, disturbing and serious matter. The director nor I condone violence, murder or suicide in any way, shape or form, but if this video is disturbing to you, you still have to admit that violence and suicide are a part of our daily lives. If for one moment this video makes you think of a family member or loved one or a dear friend who may be dealing with dark painful issues , maybe, you might find the strength and courage to step in and intervene somehow.
How many times after a loved one commits suicide do we hear, I wish I could have done something, or I wish I could have spoken to him or her before this tragedy happened.

Again, you can take this video movie at face value or you can delve in a deep as you want to go.
Whatever your opinions on this video, and we respect everyone's opinion, but we all must respect the basic rights of the creator of this piece some due respect.

Yes, this video will shock and disturb and even sicken some people because it is graphic.
We always try to use a disclaimer when presenting this video to our audience.

In the future Mr.Alexander will be doing more videos , some will be more comical, other more bizarre and bordering on the absurd, but as a film maker, he should be allowed creative freedom and license.

First Video- Get Out of My Head

Hey Guys & Gals, here it is, the first Video from our New CD "Inevitable"
Check it out here: Death and Taxes - Get Out of My Head http://t.co/CU9TmCZ via @youtube By Sick N Twisted Pictures~ Bill F Alexander

Bill Alexander, Filmmaker, Producer, Musician, Recording Engineer, Dad, Husband & one of my very best friends, is basically a nice sweet guy, well, until you view one of his Dark, Macabre films of the horror genre type, then all hell breaks loose, Buckets of blood, mayhem, murder, and unspeakable acts, and that's just while the title credits are rolling :)

Bill is the genius behind Alex Entertainment and Sick N Twisted Pictures. I have know Bill for at least 8 years and he is a workaholic and is the nicest guy in the world. He would give you the shirt off his back... but you have to give him the skin off yours. Bill loves this genre and really loves to create this type of video and film for pure entertainment and escapism. Yes, he runs into some controversy now and then, but if bloody, gory, funny, campy horror flicks isn't your cup of tea, by all means, do not watch his films & videos.

Bill will soon be releasing more video shorts and his full length feature gore fest " 50 Ways To Kill Your Lover", which I had the opportunity to work with this great director on his newest film.
Now folks, that is a whole nother blog hahah Please check out the new video & watch for the movie coming soon.

Please subscribe to Bill's You Tube Channel so you get notification of any new releases.

Meet My Dear Friend Amy Stewart Hale!

Usually my Blog is about my weight loss, or the band or music in general, but I want everyone to meet my dear friend Amy Stewart Hale. Amy and I became friends on twitter a little over two years ago when she and her husband Rusty & her Daughter Bella lived in Georgia. Amy asked is she could paint a portrait of my band & then put it up for auction to help charities, and I said of course. I realized from the start that this was a very special, gifted, kind and generous young lady.
Above is a copy of the artwork she painted of me and my band Death and Taxes.

Below is Amy's Bio:

Bio for Amy Stewart Hale @PennDragonArt
website hub, “About” page:
http://www.penndragonstudios.com

My career as a professional artist began in Chicago in 1990, my current works span the last 18 years...Thank you for taking the time to explore them.

My early works were created at our home on West Cullom Street in the Old Irving Park neighborhood in Chicago, near Montrose and Elston...

People could see my studio lights from the street...and as you walked toward my windows you could see my art in the window facing east in the direction of Western Ave...

I would ride the bus and walk everywhere so I could learn the progression of the streets and I always had a portfolio and/or a sketch pad with me when I was by myself...when I had my son with me, he was always my focus...as those of you who knew me remember.

I would walk to the Butera up on Elston...they had a great produce department...and it was a great neighborhood store...in a real neighborhood made up of families and their history I am proud to recognize as a home very close to my heart.

I moved to the Atlanta area in 1995 after my husband, Buddy, died suddenly and unexpectedly...

Chicago just wasn't the same for me...and I wanted to find a place where I could create memories for our son, at a pace I could handle at that moment in my life...and I found a place called west Georgia...

I spent most of the last 18 years there, working very hard creating atmospheres in peoples homes...like I have always said...we make your place, your space...

I created quite a bit over the last 18 years for my private clients in Atlanta...

I have now moved to Las Vegas, NV

...more of my work Atlanta is recognized in custom interior design...and that's ok...because I never stopped being an artist...

You can see some of that work on my interior design website:

http://www.fauxfillinginteriors.com

By doing interiors I just changed my focus for a while...and in doing so found a deeper direction to take my fine art in.

You are beginning to experience that direction as I begin to show the works I have kept inside for the last 18 years.

I am now facing the longterm challenges of several work related injuries and the hardship my body has faced by spending the better part of the last 18 years climbing ladders as an income source...I am grateful for every moment of what I have accomplished through my work, however my body can no longer be pushed to the level a professional interior design artist must achieve to be successful and profitable...and that reality is a hard reality for me, a very independent woman, to face.

My focus is once again, my fine art.

My newest project is creating a community art resource thru a gallery I’m founding
“da Spot” Las Vegas @TheSpotLasVegas

It feels like a real home for #supporttheArts

...Thank you for supporting both my works and the causes I believe in supporting to make a difference for people they are working to help by easing the challenges they are facing in every moment by walking their paths...

More of Amy's work above including a picture of the Artist:

The thing I admire most about Amy is here selflessness and giving nature. My guitarist Truba & I go out to Da'Spot most every Friday evening to bring some acoustic music to the people visiting Amy's Gallery, where she provides, food, drinks, & snacks to anyone who stops by to look at her art or to listen to some music or check out the break & beat dancers outside in front of Las Vegas Blvd. Amy is working hard to make this art district area into a real sense of community.
Amy , who has such a huge heart opens her doors to anyone, the unfortunate, the homeless, and I saw her helping many down and out people with a few dollars or even a blanket for the colder Las Vegas nights. So please join me in sending your best thoughts and love to my dear friend Amy Stewart Hale.
So if you're in Vegas Stop by, and check out Da Spot 1441 South Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV
When you purchase a painting a large portion of the proceeds go to many select women's abuse, and homeless and children's charities. Amy Stewart Hale, my dear friend, who is always thinking of how she can help others!

How Times Flies! Update for Death and Taxes

Hey Guys & Gals, wow  October 15th already.. Thanksgiving and Christmas will soon be upon us.
We finally got the damn CD out! It took so much money & so many wonderful angels who pushed us hard to the finish line. Our show at The Whisky in West Hollywood Rocked! I want to thank everyone for your love & support in the past 2 years , because of you we were finally able to realize our dream.
But now, the dream is just beginning, we were blessed to find Truba as our current Guitarist & Izzy Diaz, a most amazing drummer is back with us, so that band rocks hard and Dave Starkey and I are blessed to be playing with such pro caliber and amazing and dedicated musicians. Now for the rest of 2011 we will be doing some local West Coast shows in LA, Vegas & Phoenix area, so watch for us..  Please buy the CD & downloads & merch, that is the only way an Indie Rock Band can survive. We know money is tight so even a 99 cent download adds up and if you can't do that, please spread the word about our band and music. It is the only way an Indie band can move forward. Without your help, we don't exist.. so once again watch for us to tour everywhere in 2012 and beyond. We are working on new music & instead of over 5 years the next CD will be out in a matter of months! We have so many people to thank, but I will do that in another blog.

So friends, I will post some links to our new Merchandise Store & Links to the iTunes & Amazon.com site
New websites coming soon! Thank you again & know we love each and every one of you!
